'Spring is Here' acrylic 2022 is actually a painting that I began and thought I completed in 2014. I never listed it for sale and it hung in my house over the years. As I would notice it, it seemed like it needed much more work. So in 2022, I decided to pick it off the wall and back in my easel and finally finish it. I've shared here a picture of 'Green Skeleton Ring' 2014 and now 'Spring is Here' 2022. Spring time is a magical and beautiful time of year. My spirits are lifted and I feel positive; like good things are happening around me. The birds are chirping about it too! I hoped to evoke good Springtime vibes in this painting. I also love mother nature.
*Note about this painting: I coated it with a couple layers of a glossy finish which is meant to make the colors pop (and it did!) and protect the acrylic painting underneath. Unfortunately it left a sheen where you can see the brush strokes. I'm aware of it and think it doesn't take away from the painting underneath. In my opinion, minor and noted! It really adds life and color to any wall.
