This painting is titled 'Green Mermaids' and is 20 x 24 inches and is wired and ready to hang. This painting is part of my mermaid series and it's the first one (painting #1). I wanted to focus on each color and make an interesting scene for each with an ethereal, innocent yet slight spooky vibe; also to add a burst of green to any area or room. I enjoy art that makes me hesitate and stare, noticing the details while questioning the story. I hope this series does this for the viewer. This green setting is maybe in Louisiana? There's a car under the water along with several other items that really do belong above ground!; one of which has been discovered by the Mermaid on the left who's combing her hair. The Mermaid on the right seems to be below her in rank; maybe she's younger and has to patiently wait her turn. They seem to be slightly bored under there all day and night so a discovery of a brush is quite a big deal Haha.
