I originally created this series beginning in 2012, when I first moved to South Florida from CO and was eager to visit the restaurant "Le Tub" located in Hollywood, FL that was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show way back in the day. I had remembered about this restaurant because they were well known for their eccentric and quirky decor, of colorful toilets filled with tropical plants, along the Stranahan River waterway, directly across from the beach. They also were famous for their amazing burgers which I had to try! The experience was a 10 for the food and ambiance! We had birds, landing right next to us on the deck rails along the water as we enjoyed our decadent burgers. It was exactly what I imagined, even though I had never been to Florida before moving here. I left the place feeling very inspired and decided to create the first set of 3 skeletons sitting on toilets and titled them 'Le Tub' as the appropriate title. I also thought, why not create some bright and cheerful art for the bathroom?! Every room, even the bathroom deserves art.
