This painting is #2 in my smoking series. When I thought of a famous icon of a cigar smoker, I immediately thought of Groucho Marx. I grew up watching him on TV with my Dad, because he was a big fan. He even dressed up like him one Halloween and looked just like him!

Niña Artista (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $55.00
Niña Artista came about in my mind, in a flash. It was a vision of the entire piece, that I was able to fly into and explore, while still in my mind's eye. I didn't question what it meant or why to create it, but knew I had to get this idea out quickly. Some paintings come to me in this way, and I can try to figure them out later.

Mi Quesadilla (Limited Edition Giclee)

$35.00 - $75.00
I created 'Mi Quesadilla' based on one of my all time favorite comedies, 'Napoleon Dynamite'. I wanted to immortalize the character in my own way. I've watched that movie again and again, and still find new things to laugh about. For all the true fans of this movie, I should have made the title, ' Mi Quesadiluh' Hahaha

Wedding photographer (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $55.00
I originally wanted to just create a piece titled 'The photographer' but decided later to add a bride and groom. I thought a photographer would not be complete without their subject.  When I thought of possible subjects, I thought Love to be at the top of the list. I immediately got the image of a bride and groom; each with their own unique blue and red lights, intertwined,  and the photographer in the middle, capturing it all! This is how the 'Wedding Photographer' came to be.

Hanging with Frida (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $75.00

Price Includes Shipping

I put Frida in her beloved Mexico and put her dress that she had put in her piece titled, 'My Dress Hangs There' in the painting to depict a more happier and at peace Frida. You see, she was very unhappy when she created this because she was tired of being in America in the Big Apple, with Diego and yearned to travel back home to Mexico. In Frida's painting, She puts her dress in her piece, surrounded by big, grey buildings, industrialization and city life. This kind of life depressed her. She wanted to escape from it all and go back to a simpler way of life, surrounded by colors, nature and her pets. My painting is a continuation of her journey and into the after life. We all hope Frida's suffering is over and that she is in a restful place.

Siempre Conmigo (Limited Edition Glicée)

$35.00 - $55.00
I've just completed a painting that I've yet to title! It's for my cat, Cassie that passed away recently, and was I touched by how much love I had for this little cat. I wanted to paint a peaceful place, where life continues on, and we're always together. I had this vision of this place. The strange thing is, I began this painting right before she died unexpectedly. I had no idea how much more deeper, this painting would be for me. I hope if you've lost a pet that you loved dearly, this painting brings that joy of remembering your four legged companion.

Follow me (Limited Edition Giclée)

There is a tombstone in Ashby, Massachusetts that reads, “Remember friend, as you pass by, as you are now, so once was I. As I am now, so you must be. Prepare yourself to follow me.”

La Maestra (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $75.00
I created this piece because I believe a teacher is one of the highest callings a person can have.  We live our lives, gain wisdom through our personal journey, and then in turn to share that wisdom, is the greatest gifts we give to others; To help, empower and connect  with fellow man.  Anyone and everyone is a teacher at some point.  I am a teacher, my child is a teacher; my neighbor is a teacher. Personally,  My dog has been  one of my greatest teachers.

Seat of the Soul (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $55.00
This painting came about as one of my meditation vision experiences.  I get visions sometimes while I meditate, and some of them are so captivating, that I am inspired to paint them.  The title of this painting is 'Seat of the Soul'.  I never knew what that was and still don't understand fully what this is, but I will tell you how the titled came about and what this painting means:  As I am fairly new in my practice of meditation, I had been leaving my sketch book beside me, for any reason that I might find to write about each experience.  I began this session as usual, in the sitting position with hands extended to the sky.  As I focused on my breath, I began to again get distracted by my thoughts, which is usually the case in meditation.  It took me a while it seemed, but I began to somehow fly away from these distracting thoughts and a beautiful light began to emerge, which I was naturally drifting towards.  In this immense light, I began to see a dark figure that was see more

La Dentista (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $55.00
Price Includes Shipping
I will only produce 50 of this Giclée in two sizes. Only one edition. Signed and numbered on the back by me.

I had always wanted to create a piece of a Dentist, that was similar to my painting, 'El Doctór'.  The time came to create 'La Dentista' as I was preparing for my show, 'Skeleton Garden' at Gallery 2014, Hollywood, FL.  My family and I had just moved from Hollywood to Coral Springs, which left me with less time to create paintings for this solo show.  I was very nervous that I wouldn't have the time to create the paintings.  As I began, this painting seemed to just flow out of me, rather quickly and effortlessly.  As I painted, the colors all came together and I was enjoying the process, although still concerned with lack of  time.  As I was nearing  the completion of the painting, that night, my husband began complaining of a tooth ache. It was the next day, that I planned on completing 'La Dentista' with details left to paint on the tooth extraction, that my husband visited the real Dentist and had to have an emergency tooth extraction!!  As I painted the very last details, at the very same moment I was painting, my husband was in the hot seat at the dental office, getting his tooth extracted!!  I almost felt guilty for what happened; like I had something to do with it!  It was so remarkable, that I decided to paint a clock in the painting with the time that this synchronicity occurred!

What I take from the bizarre occurrence, was it was the Universe's way of telling me, it's okay!  Everything is happening exactly when it's supposed to!  Do not worry!!  You'll have enough time!'

Tiki Man III (Limited Edition Giclée)

$35.00 - $75.00
Price Includes Shipping
I will only produce 50 of this Giclée in two sizes. Only one edition. Signed and numbered on the back by me.

This series features my 'Tiki Man' statue that first showed up in an early oil painting titled 'If Only' in 2006.  In this painting, I felt it was missing something very significant in the corner, so I decided to follow my instincts, and just painting away; this horned, foreboding statue is what came to be.  I didn't put much thought into creating him, so was surprised at the details, such as the face, staff and smallish feet.  In many of my paintings, since creating 'If Only' I have placed the 'Tiki Man' inconspicuously in the corners of pieces, in the same manner as 'If Only'.  It's something that ties my work together; now what does the 'Tiki Man' mean?  That's not clear to me.  I feel it's something ancient and ever present.  It spans many many life times and is eternal.  Some people have said that it means 'death'.  I really don't know but I love to hear what others think this statue means. After placing him inconspicuously in many of my pieces, I finally decided to create this series, giving the 'Tiki Man' the center stage.
