'A Pleasant Afternoon' is painting #2/3 of my 2022 Frida-inspired paintings. I found a picture I'd never seen before on the internet and tucked it away in my files for future reference. When I'd flip through my camera roll on my phone, I'd swipe past this one and it would catch my eye every time so I decided to interpret the photo in this painting now. I was going for mostly neutral tones with accents of bright colors. I'm happy with the outcome. I hope Frida is too. She looks so serene in the reference photo and pleasant so that's how I came up with the title. Keeping it Simple.
The painting is stamped on the back with the artist's signature and wired so it is ready to hang.
