This is 'Red Skeleton Gate' acrylic 2013. For this painting and series, I was inspired by my neighbor's giant bougainvillea plant that grew and cascaded down their fence, creating a wall of small, brightly colored flowers. Also, I've always been attracted to the deeper meaning and analogies with gates, doors and windows; like they could be a portal into another world, plane or dimension. I'll for sure create more paintings around that idea!
I print on the best paper for art. I print all my 8 1/2" by 11" and the 13" by 19" on Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper (see more here)
