This painting is titled 'Blue Mermaid' and is 20 x 24 inches and is wired and ready to hang. This painting is part of my mermaid series and it's the third one, painting #3 in the series. This one I'm focusing on the color blue. I wanted to focus on each color and make an interesting scene for each, with an ethereal, innocent yet slight spooky vibe; also to add a burst of color to any area or room. I enjoy art that makes me hesitate and stare, noticing the details while questioning the story. I hope this series does this for the viewer. I've given the mermaid a dolphin friend to escort her through this cave filled with typical sea life, as well as hidden treasures. I hope to have given this painting a jewel like effect, similar to how a coral reef looks; iridescent.
