I created this series for an upcoming show in October of 2014 for Chimmaya Art Gallery in L.A.. I had a 3 week deadline to come up with something inspired by Frida Kahlo. I went to bed one night, and work up from a dream. I saw all three paintings, already in my mind. They were all with a blue background and a relatively simple design. The entire series was effortless to imagine, and I created all three in two and a half weeks, meeting my deadline before the show. I nicknamed this series my, 'I dream of Frida series'. Even though I didn't spend as much time on these as I can on other paintings, I do feel they are some of my best work. It's amazing what inspiration can do.
